Fifth stay in 12 years! It is an understatement to say that we like it! Martine and Alain are adorable: welcoming, helpful with good advice and at the same time discreet. The cottage is ideally located for visits and sports activities. Quiet, very well equipped, very clean, nicely decorated, heated swimming pool. A cottage at the top!

An atypical holiday home, that's often what travelers at Moulin de la Doux say! The elegant high-rise building in which you will spend your holidays has lived several lives. In the 13th century, it was first the abbey of the Templar monks. Its pointed arch openings from the Gothic period bear witness to this. Around 1660, the abbey, near the Doux tributary of the Couze, was naturally transformed into a sunflower oil mill and a grain mill. At that time, the mill belonged to the castellan of Couzage castle! The mill, asleep and forgotten for several centuries, was reborn in the 2000s, after long works, to become the Gîte du Moulin de la Doux.

Located in the charming little hamlet of La Roche in Saint-Cernin-de-Larche between the Cirque de la Doux and the Puy du Fournet, the mill offers an unequaled peaceful and relaxing green setting. Organized on 3 levels, the gîte offers you the possibility of meeting up to 10 people.
On the ground floor,
you enter a superb living room with a Provençal atmosphere: exposed stone walls, floor tiles, terracotta jars and wrought iron dining room furniture. You can even see the dry riverbed in places in the glazed floor!
On the 1st floor,
the atypical landing in the shape of a rounded walkway pays homage to the location of the mill's waterwheel. It leads to 2 bedrooms: the stained glass bedroom, and the Gaillards bedroom, which share a bathroom with double basin, wc and walk-in shower. The Gaillards room with 4 single beds of 90 is adjacent to a games room, with table football. A sofa bed 140 can here serve as a comfortable extra bed for 2 other people.
On the 2nd floor,
2 large bedrooms with king size bed 180, a private bathroom with double sinks and walk-in shower have a view of the wooded park and the limestone cliffs of the Cirque de la Doux.
